Based out of the Maitland HQ you will have a diverse workload accross all the sectors that the business service. Working with a great team of varied trades towards a common goal. This is a permanent role – you will begin as a casual through Hunter Recruitment Group and after a 3 month trial taken onto the clients books as a permanent employee. After this trial period you will be issued with a fully maintained company work vehicle.

As a plumber you will need:

• min 3 years experience
• experinece with pumps
• ability to service farming and mining equipment
• ability to work as part of a team
• have a great customer service mentality
• have a current drivers licence

It would be desirable but not essential to have additional tickets like:

• licencesd contractor
• forklift
• confined spaces
• elevated work platform

You will be well paid – working as a casual to start you will earn $35 / hr plus super then after the 3 month trial you will revert to a permanent at $28/ hr + super plus fully maintained vehicle.

This is an extremely rare opportunity to gain a spot as a contractor on a permanent roster at an open cut mine site in the Hunter Valley

Here is what we are seeking:

• Trade qualifed as heavy vechile mechanic
• great experience within your trade – (working as leading hand on trucks or within a quarry for example)
• Fantastic work ethic and desire to break into mining
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts rotating through nights and weekends
• Ability and attitude to learn the ropes with open cut site maintenance
• Attitude to start at the bottom to learn a new industry
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and a pre employment fuctional accessment
• Have excellent work related references

The program will see you work at a rate slightly below the standard contract rate for a period that could last up to 3 years until the site is happy with your level of open cut mining experience. Once this occurs you will have an annual earning capacity above $110K per year.

To begin you will be extremely well paid as is at $38 per hour for shifts during the week and $40 per hour for shifts on weekends. Meaning your annual earnings on roster will be approx $85K plus super.
