commercial Biochar plant within Australia. The group was
successful in gaining a $4.5 Million Dollar grant to take charge of this
technology in our region.
We need a Chemical Engineer with experience in:
  • Project Development
  • Pilot Trials
  • Technology Development
  • Feasibility Assessments
  • Testing &
  • Commissioning of plant and equipment

fuels, this role represents an opportunity to be a part of something much bigger
than your usual Engineering role.
We are looking for a Chemical Engineer with an ability to work either in
the lab, on the pilot studies or with clients. You will need:
  • Degree qualifications
  • Min of 2 years experience
  • to have an ability to work within a small team
  • have the skills and drive to be a major technical and operational part of this
    and future projects
  • Have an ability to present to clients and government agencies.
Salary level is negotiable based on experience

Been wanting to break into the mining industry but keep being told no due to a lack of industry experience?

This is an extremely rare opportunity to gain a spot as a contractor on a permanent roster at an open cut mine site in the Hunter Valley

Here is what we are seeking:

  • Trade qualifed as heavy vechile mechanic
  • great experience within your trade – (working as leading hand on trucks or within a quarry for example)
  • Fantastic work ethic and desire to break into mining
  • Ability to work 12 hour shifts rotating through nights and weekends
  • Ability and attitude to learn the ropes with open cut site maintenance
  • Attitude to start at the bottom to learn a new industry
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing and a pre employment fuctional accessment
  • Have excellent work related references

The program will see you work at a rate slightly below the standard contract rate for a period that could last up to 3 years until the site is happy with your level of open cut mining experience. Once this occurs you will have an annual earning capacity above $110K per year.

To begin you will be extremely well paid as is at $38 per hour for shifts during the week and $40 per hour for shifts on weekends. Meaning your annual earnings on roster will be approx $85K plus super.

Open Cut Diesel Fitters

Our client is a major mining contractor to one of the largest mines in the Hunter Valley. With the mining contract renewed you can apply with security that they will be on site for the long haul.
Hunter Recruitment Group is used to source the best available tradespeople to fill the permanent roster spots on site through labour hire.
Working with HRG you will receive flat rate pay at the following levels:
  • Weekday shifts – $53 / per hour
  • Weekend Shifts – $55 / per hour
The site operates a 7 day fortnight roster pattern, where every second weekend is a long weekend – allowing you to spend more time with family.
For outstanding candidates with great experience we have available Mon -Thursday or Tue – Fri roster – For those who don’ t wish to work weekends
Working 12.25 hour shifts you will rotate between day and night shifts. The roster pattern is as follows:
Mon / Tue – on                Wed / Thurs – off
Fri / Sat / Sun – on
Mon / Tue – off                Wed / Thurs – on
Fri / Sat / Sun – off
To be successful in application you will need to have:
  • worked on OPEN CUT mining equipment with 3 plus years’ experience
  • a heavy vehicle mechanics trade
  • an ability to pass a pre-employment medical along with drug and alcohol testing
  • the capacity to work as part of a team
