Exciting opportunity for an experienced MIG welder to join a growing team in an industry leading, innovative and high-tech workshop environment.
 

The Role:
 
This is a workshop-based fabrication role where accuracy and attention to detail are critical. Working in a dynamic team environment, you will be operating machinery and fabricating products to support the construction and mining industries.  
 
It is a fast-paced environment where meeting production targets is critical. Offering a great work/life balance, this is a full time Monday – Friday role, 7am-3.30pm. You will commence with Hunter Recruitment Group under our temp2perm process.
 
This would be considered the start of the production process and as such is a great entry level role into this amazing, rapidly growing business. Career progression for great operators will be available.
 
 
About You:
 
To be successful in this role it is crucial you possess the following:
 

  • MIG welding experience
  • Licence and transport
  • Experience in production environment
  • Exceptional attitude to safety
  • High level of fitness
  • Desire to learn and can take instruction and direction
  • Be flexible to grow your welding / fabrication career as the company grows

Driving set routes and tours within Wine country, ensuring that the customers have an excellent experience is at the core of this role. You can’t just be a driver you have to care for your customers. This is the culture that has been established by the owners and the current team.

You must:

  • Have an ability to interact with numerous groups on a charter bus
  • Be confident and make the experience enjoyable
  • Have a current LR licence and Bus Driver Authority
  • Have a knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) of the local Hunter Wine region
  • Be a multi-tasking, highly organised person with energy for the job
  • Have the flexibility to work one weekday and one Saturday most weeks.

Based in Hunter Valley wine country, this role is essentially going to be 2 shifts, one weekday and one weekend day per week, totalling between 10-15hrs per week.

Rates –  Weekday  $27.64/hr – Sat $38.69/hr – Sun $49.75

Very much seasonal work and not a full time position but ongoing shifts are available for the top performers each week.

The role involves locating stock, picking items, neatly packing into boxes and dispatching to their valued customers located Australia wide. Shifts will be anything from 4 to 8 hours spanning hours between 7am and 5pm – Monday to Friday, with quieter times during school holidays meaning you will be able to enjoy some time off.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A meticulous level of attention to detail and appreciation of presentation of goods for delivery
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment – hospitality or retail environments ideal
  • Some experience working in a hands on capacity with stock ie night fill or Point of sale
  • Ideally experience using a hand held RF Scanner
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness as the work can be physically demanding
  • A positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a highly motivated, fun, supportive team
  • Availability across 5 days (Monday to Friday) essential.

 
 
This role is available for a late May / June start and pays an excellent casual hourly rate of $26.14 plus super.
