Due to exceptional growth through some exciting new contracts and ongoing demand for their services, this locally based Bookkeeping firm is looking to further build on their already impressive growth and results, adding a well credentialed Senior Accountant to their busy team on a full time, permanent basis.

Definitely no such thing as being stuck in a cubicle – this role will involve leading a team of 3 highly competent Bookkeepers and will offer a mix of attending to management and financial accounting tasks, coupled with a high volume of face to face meeting with clients.

This is an opportunity to assume the function of CFO for a multitude of interesting clients and entities. Literally no two days will ever be the same!

You will need to be a tertiary qualified, dynamic and astute Accountant with experience working in small to medium entities, with the desire to work somewhere that is fast paced and tech savvy. This firm constantly embrace technological change and advancement, and it’s essential that you do too!

The key functions of the role:

  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and staff
  • Leading and overseeing a team of Bookkeepers and administration staff
  • Preparation of management and financial reports for variety of clients across multiple industry sectors
  • Planning and coordinating work and maintaining strong productivity levels

Ideally you will be an expert user of Xero and capable of translating numbers and reports into sensible, logical information for non-Accountants. This is not a Tax Accounting role and is very much an opportunity unlike any other (check for yourself – there’s nothing else like this out there right now)!

It is essential that you are a competent communicator with the ability to quickly become a trusted advisor to your many and varied clients. You will pride yourself on your personal presentation and exude a genuine warmth and positivity – just as the rest of the team do.
